The Owl and the Grasshopper
The Owl and the Grasshopper
Once an owl was resting in peace in her home, the hole of the tree. A grasshopper was singing so harshly, disturbing the grasshopper's peace. The owl said, 'Please, Mr. Grasshopper, stop singing so loudly or go a little distance away, if you must sing.' The grasshopper got irritated by this remark and said, 'I am singing at my own home, not in yours. So you donot have any right to say so. I don't care if you like it or not. If you dislike, you can go elsewhere.' The owl understood that if he doesn't do something concrete, the nasty creature will keep disturbing. So he made a plan. He said,'Ok sir, if you must sing, let me enjoy the sweet music. Please come into my home and sing.' At this, the grasshopper was delighted and entered into the owl's hole. As soon as he stepped in, the owl gobbled him up.
