The Cock and the Fox

 The Cock and the Fox

One day in the forest the cock was sitting on the branch of a tree. A greedy fox saw him. He wanted to eat the cock. He said with great enthusiasm, 'Mr. Cock, I think you have heard about peace treaty?' 'What peace treaty?' Asked the cock. 'The fox said, 'The treaty that says that all animals and birds will henceforth live in peace. No animal will hurt each other.  So this is day of enjoyment.  Come down. Let us sing and dance together.' 'It is great,' says the cock, 'But I see two big dogs are coming. Let them come.' Hearing this, the fox ran away as fast as possible.
