The Mother and the Wolf

 The Mother and the Wolf

One day a wolf was passing by the hut in which there was a mother and her child. The child was crying bitterly. The mothers said,  'Don't cry, child'. But the child did not stop crying. The mother said, 'Don't cry, child or else I will give you to the wolf'. The wolf was delighted to hear this. He waited near the window. But hours passed. The mother did not give the child to the wolf. The child again started crying. Now the mother said, 'Don't cry, child, I will not give you to the wolf'. Father will come and he will kill the wolf with his club'. Then the wolf saw the child's father coming. The wolf understood that what was said earlier was not true. He escaped as quickly as possible.
